Ozzie flies free. My prayers are for you & hubby to find peace knowing that Ozzie knew you
did all you could for him.  God Bless.

If God watches over the sparrow, then surely the lovebird.  It was so caring of you to put her in the place that she loved so much.

Hubby and I are overwhelmed with gratitude for the beautiful sentiments expressed here for our little feathered baby and we are truly Blessed to have such caring cyber friends.

Tonight we buried Ozzie  crying in my friends lovely backyard. She shares a place with 2 Guinea pigs and a rabbit. We placed her in a box inside her happy hut. We added her favorite ring swing pictured here below (with the shells and different colors) and a handful of Popsicle sticks which were her favorite toy to shred. I used to buy a craft case of them for her to go through. It was better then her working on my woodwork lol  She was a stinker and so filled with personality. Before I knew she was a she, (she laid eggs one year)I always said Ozzie had the personality of a little Jimmy Cagney. The way she would proudly strut across the floor with her Popsicle sticks just daring little Whitey to take it, which sometimes he did.

She wasn' t afraid of anything! as I learned one day when I accidently placed my huge Eclectus in the birdsroom before placing Ozzie back in her cage. She zeroed in on this familiar but unsuspecting intruder 10X her size and I came running as I heard a loud screeeech!!! Shocked only to find this tiny lovebird clinging to the back of poor Baley's neck ready to fight for her territory against this huge monster bird!! Baley was none the worse and without a scratch. But Ozzie made her point. She definately was the alpha bird in our home.

But even with that you had to love her. She was so spunky and at the same time so tolerant of her friend Whitey the parakeet who stayed by her side for 5 years.

Well that's all I have to say about that as Forrest Gump would say...

That was just our little Ozzie

I am so taken by how adorable Ozzie was!  I'm so glad you could bury her in a serene, special place.  Sweet baby.  It is just so hard to go through this.
