Alfrieda (Glieg & Diamante) and Simcoe (son of Stormin' [son of Rhea Mae & Tiago] & Haven) have at least one hatch!
!!! We have a hatch!!!
May 02, 2016 - Oshawa - Lakeridge Hospital
CPF Postmaster Reports:
May 2nd - 2016
Our bad,, as we are way behind in the updates!! Yes, congratulations is in order on several accounts,,,
Yes, the resident Oshawa pair have in fact been involved in full time incubation duties over the past month! :-)
It would appear by the recent observations and photos, (with much thanks to the dedicated “human” hospital foster parents, the resident adults are the same as last year.
The adults did in fact winter over on territory and remained very territorial and protective of their new nest box! Outsiders beware!!!!
The best news of late (only just today),, is that eggs are starting to hatch!!! With one egg confirmed to have hatched so far,, its shaping up to be a very positive season for the resident adult peregrines at Lakeview!!
Stay tuned…………
Congratulations are in order!!!

Pretty common for cousins living in the Deep South (of Canada).

Reported on Peregrine Place FB Page tonight-
CENTRAL TERMINAL - They are fledging and the little boy who had an accident today does have a fractured pelvis. As you probably know, the fledgling was rescued after Rich Ersing, a watcher, called for help and the SPCA Wildlife Division came and got him.

On Peregrine Place FB page-pic shows a couple babies
NORTH GRAND ISLAND BRIDGE - the adult female at the North Grand Island Bridge this year is “Terrazzo” from the 2014 Central Terminal Nest! Was able to read her band when I checked the nest back in May, and forgot to send you the photo. Her mate is not banded. Note from Jacquie

I received a message from my friend Melanie Piccolo in Buffalo of a possible territory take over at Central Terminal. Diamante was found injured and taken to a rehabber.

I'm glad Diamante was found and is in care but I hate that he's potentially lost his territory. I hope Gleig is okay.
Hopefully there will be people out there checking on her and ensuring she's not laying injured somewhere.
