Has anyone been to Buffalo CT to see if she has a new mate? I haven't heard or seen any news! Feel bad for Diamante, being released in an unknown area to start his life all over, especially being settled all these years! He may just find his way back! Glad he survived this attack!

I have been checking also, but have not found anything new.

I did find a very short video in slow motion of Diamanté flying when he was still at Erie County SPCA. I had not seen it before. Here are links in case anyone else missed it.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR BUFFALO AND ROCHESTER WATCHERS: DIAMANTE' and another Peregrine, Hillary, were safely released today near Herkimer, NY. I'm waiting for more info such as who is Hillary, but I hope the two are bonded and can find a good nest site open to them if they are a bonded pair. That's all I know right now so don't ask for more info. I will of course post it if I get it!


ps:  I hope they find that empty nest box in Buffalo!

I hope he stays away from Buffalo cuz sure enough Diamante will go to Central Terminal and battle to get his territory and mate back. Glad he's free to fly the open sky now!

It will be interesting to see if he returns to Buffalo. So happy he was well enough to be released.

I may be wrong but is that about 3 1/2 to 4 hours away from Buffalo??

Pushing it but I hope they fly off together and make many babies! At least they have a chance!

Yep, not far at all for a falcon! Fingers crossed that Diamante finds a nest and territory away from Buffalo.
