Ledging Update
Ananta and Grace have both made the hop down onto the catwalk “playpen” below the nest box. They’ll most likely wander around there for a few days until they’re ready to fledge. Sacajawea has been making hops out to the perch rail, and she’ll probably join her sisters in the playpen soon. Linn, the youngest of the eyases, may take a few more days before she’s ready to hop out of the nest box.

Thanks Jess for the news. I check several times a day and was wondering if two were on the catwalk. Nailbite time.

Thank you, Jess, for your great commentaries. Is there any way one of the cameras can be trained on the catwalk “playpen”?

I have watched the falcon cam for the last 3 years and cannot tell you how much I learned this past year because of “Imprints” and “Jess”. Thank you so much for making this site educational as well as personal. By knowing their names and being able to associate those names with a bird, these 4 little girls and their doting parents become part of your own life. Watching the falcon cam this year has been great. Thanks again.

Wish we could get a better view of the catwalk to see the two adventuresses!

Linn made it out to the scrape for a moment of wing flapping. Good girl.

From the laying of the eggs to the branching of our offspring, we look to nature as a mirror of our own human lives. Truly this can only bring us more joy as we begin again in the “empty nest”. It is our hope for the girls’ future that they find the wind beneath their wings.
May the force be with them.

They must have had a terrible rainstorm. They look totally ticked because they got wet. I LOVE this site. It is just amazing to watch. If you keep an eye on camera #4, You can sometimes see the other two wandering about on the catwalk !!!

Yeah, Lil’ Linn! She got the hang of it at 6am today. Now it’s like the hokey pokey! You put your Linn in… You put your Linn out… She and Saci get a little wet and they shake themselves about! I’m so glad she finally started hopping out there! Yeah Girls!

I’ll be happy if she decides to stick around a little longer. It’s so sad when you can’t go to your computer and see them whenever you want.

Oh my, they are almost all gone from the scrape. Linn was making progress earlier this morning, she must be tired. I am wondering if she is missing her sisters. Hope she is in the playpen soon to join her beautiful sisters

I have loved every minute of watching Mariah and Kaver produce their young year after year. What a miracle of nature to witness! It is sad to seem them leave but just knowing they’ll be back next year makes for great anticipation.
