Fledge Update
We’ve just received word from our on-scene watchers that Linn has taken her first flight and landed safely on the south side of the Kodak tower! We’re very excited and pleased to have four successful fledges at the Rochester Falconcam. Keep watching for more reports from our dedicated volunteer fledge watchers!

Glad to hear Linn finally fledged, but sad to see an empty nest. Sad to see this year coming to an end. I have been watching these amazing Falcons for a few years and they seem like family now. Great job on the updates, appreciate them very much. My 8 year old daughter loves to check on them daily with me. She will be sad again when they are gone. Looking forward to another amazing year. 🙂

Thank you for an amazing 3 months of viewing and learning. I miss the “babies” but am thrilled to know all are flying now.

Will any of the juvies be fitted with a transmitter this year? I was reading about Skye and Havoc (unfortunate for both of them) and wondering if any of ours will be tagged this year.

@Amy – We do have another transmitter available, which can be fitted to one of the fledglings provided we are in a position to do so. The NY DEC has made the decision that we won’t deliberately attempt to capture one of the fledglings for this purpose, but if one should need to be rescued or otherwise come into our custody we would fit the transmitter at that time.
