I read that donations from out of the country are not being accepted. I wanted to add, not really from out of state. When I filled out the form for my credit card, the state was already filled in with New York. Naturally, I changed it to Indiana to match the zip code, then the receipt was issued with my proper zip code, but the state changed back to New York!!!

I’m afraid the ROC the Day people aren’t even thinking about donations outside of the greater Rochester area let alone out of state.
Rfalconcam is very fortunate to have a worldwide following.

I do not remember that happening to me in prior years of donating at midnight… And the worldwide following is fortunate to have the rfalconcam volunteers.

The ROCtheDay donation looks different from previous years. Apparently, changes were made that adversely affected donors outside of New York. The problem was not caught because no one thought to test for a donation from outside the greater Rochester area.

When they ROCtheDay website asked for comments I reported the problem, so they have been informed about the technical problem. I am confident that someone from the rfalconcam team will also take it up with them, since it keeps the level of successful donations down. (I will see on my next statement if the credit card company processed the donation with the correct name, street address, zip-code but wrong state or not.)

Yes, I notified ROCtheDay. No word back yet.
It’s also possible the problem was fixed during the course of the day.
