By Rochester Falcon Watcher Carol P.
Hi all! ย I’ve been out and about this past week and have seen all 6 Rochester Falcons during that time. Plus a trip to Buffalo on Saturday with fellow watchers Kathy O, Lisa McK and Dana where we saw Gleig and Diamante at Central Terminal, Yankee and Dixie at UB and ย one falcon downtown Buffalo near the Statler.
Here are some pics from my week of adventures. ย ๐

Congratulations on seeing six PEFAs in Rochester! Good stills of everyone, and nice videos of Genesee. He’s certainly become a handsome well-fed boy!

What a great report – thank you. Nice to see pictures of Diamante and Gleig and happy they are doing good. I need a family tree as I don’t remember Yankee and Dixie. Love the pictures of Genesee and glad all 6 Rochester Falcons are well.

Thank you Annie! Yankee and Dixie do not have ties with Rochester. Diamante is Mariah and Kaver’s son and Billie’s dad and I believe the male at the Statler is Rhea Mae’s son. Oh, and Gleig is Pigott’s sister! ๐

There are family trees on this website. It is under Learn more and History. One is for the nest box on the Kodak tower and the other for Times Square. As falcons recovered and the territorial battles heated up and also as we have more data from constant watching, the files get more complicated, because more detailed. These are HUGE files. And even at 120% they are very hard to read. A print listing like one gets from Gendox might be a good addition, but would probably require a lot of volunteer hours to put together and watching the birds is probably considered the preferable use of that time.

Thank you Carol and Alison. I remember Diamante and Rhea Mae but didn’t know or remember about their offspring (except for Billie). It is exciting to have a connection back to Mariah that this is her granddaughter or grandson. I love that we can hear about Billie and now Genesee. If the male at the Statler is Rhea Mae’s son that is awesome. I found the family tree under Learn More and will download it on my computer and hopefully I can read it. Appreciate your reports and all the information. Thank You!

Annie…the resident male at the Buffalo Statler Building, Ralphie (spelled Raulphie on the family tree), is the son of Rhea Mae and Tiago..hatched in 2014!
Carol-thanks for all the great pics! Nice watch!
