That the winter visitors seem to have moved on is a great comfort to me. I would hate to read reports of a territory battle to the end…

Now the fun begins – how will Mariah take to being chased off the Kodak Tower? Will she accept the comfy alternate digs on offer? Will Kaver return or will it be another mate?
Interesting that she left town for the first time, it seems, in several years – as if she knew it was going to be a harsh winter…

I believe that Mariah was on the Powers Bldg when she first arrived. She was probably checking out the prey remains (from the Wintering pair) left on the top railing. Hopefully Kaver will, after greeting Mariah, go to the old nest box there and start digging in the scrape. 🙂
