A Frozen Falcon Watch – 1/30/10
From Rochester Falcon Watcher – Carol P.
As January comes to an end, can Spring be far behind? I cannot wait! Although the temperature had dipped into the single digits, I still wanted to get out for a Falcon Watch. Was Beauty still hanging out downtown? How about all the other Falcons we had been seeing? When the clouds parted and the day brightened, I headed out. First Irondequoit, then downtown. You can see what I saw here in my album and report from today. No sign on needed.
Enjoy!

Great Pics. Glad to see Beauty doing so well. The RTH on the car was interesting. If the one who lives in my back fields is any example, they are very bold. I agree about the peregine, the eyebrows are great. Thanks for all the time you put into making this site so great.

Thank you for sharing — what a truly beautiful experience, one I would never see if you didn’t share!

Actually the Falcon with the eyebrows was a Merlin. 🙂

Love the one of the Merlin ‘waving goodbye’, too funny! Great pictures, Carol… as always, thank you so much for sharing, and your dedication, particularly in single digit temps!! 😀

What is on camera one view today? It is sad to see a dead bird. Thanks for your feedback. Meredith in Bryan, Texas

Thanks-you CArol P for the wonderful story told through pictures.
My heart is still with Mariah and it is hard to let go. I hope she is successful this year also. There will never be another Queen of the skies.
I often wonder if things had been different if they had not decided to work on the Kodak tower.
Thanks again
