Carol P – A Quick Report – All Accounted For! – June 21, 2008
Just a quick post to let everyone know that all five eyases/fledglings
have been accounted for. We had missed Susan B. for most of the day,
but thankfully found her on the ground (that’s a whole other story!).
I was just so happy to have found her.
Quest is all over the place. She’s like the energizer bunny on
steroids. She is also ok after a very rocky start.
Zephyr is a PRO! He is unbelieveable.
Diamante is a lily boy. He is trying so hard to reach his dad’s
favorite spot, but has yet to make it. LOL
Then, there’s Seneca, who will know best when it is time for her to fly.
A very long and tiring day.

Thanks for the accounting of all five young falcons. I’m still really impressed that diminutive Diamante is apparently doing so well. And thanks to Jim’s excellent photos, I now know what Kaver’s lily is, a metal sculpture of an actual lily. I thought there was a special lingo the watchers were using!
A week or two ago, I thought I saw a graphic showing the area around the Kodak tower but now am unable to find it. Can anyone help me out here? It’s not the Item 7 on the Falcon’s Neighborhood screen. It’s a layout of the blocks and buildings in the vicinity.
Wish I was there watching too!

A full day for you and all the watchers, Carol. So glad they’re all safe.
Gail, Shaky’s site includes page of maps including the High Falls area where fledging takes place.

Also what has to be the most detailed driving directions since GPS in case you’re planning to attend watcher weekend. Download to your iPod, you can’t possible get lost.

Gail-there is a google map photo of the area in #7 Falcon’s neighborhood-click on the very last picture. I think that’s the one you’re looking for.

Gail, Shaky has a whole page of maps including High Falls. If you’re going to the watchers’ weekend try his driving directions (they’re better then GPS). http://shakymon.com/rfc-maps.html
