I really enjoyed the pictures and am glad to know Seneca is doing so well learning the tricks of flying. It is such a treat to be able to get a glimpse of this falcon family and to follow their progress. Do you have any idea how long the fledglings, and for that matter Mariah and Kaver, will fly around the Rochester area?
Thanks again for your involvement in fledge watching and reporting!
Thanks SO much for adding the pictures and video about your
shift! It is a bonus to be able to see these beautiful birds when
reading about their antics!
Gail – Usually the juvies will move out of the area by August. Although we have had later sightings in past years. Kaver leaves the area during the Winter, but we have no idea where he goes. Most Winters Mariah stays in Rochester. There were very few sightings of Mariah during the Winter of 2006/7, when she was injured. Yes, there are some of us that Watch out for Mariah during the Winter. 😉
And enjoy I did, Carol. You certainly got a workout. Good to know all’s well and young falcon skills are being developed by the excellent tutoring of very attentive parents. Great shots of areas I’ve never seen before. Thank you, Carol.

This Barbara agrees – I loved the photos of places I haven’t seen before and the shot of the Kodak Tower and remaining stack. It gives me a glimpse into what the area looks like. It is so fun to follow their progress to the gorge. Who would have thought Seneca would be first ? Bravo !
Carol: Thanks loads for the pictures. I was very impressed and excited to see that Seneca is doing so well. I believe she stole our hearts. Great pictures!!!!!.
And again, thanks for all the updates and wonderful pictures. It’s nice to see all the places that they visit and know that they are still hanging around. I caught a shot of Diamante perched on the nest box over the weekend. It was the first time I’ve seen him up close since he fledged. He looked great!
What a thrill! I don’t know why I was having so many problems getting the pictures. BUT WHEN I DID IT WAS WORTH IT….JUST LOVE OUR LITTLE FAMILY. DOING A GREAT JOB, CAROL
