I thought that a few of you might like to take a look at these articles today in the (Canadian) National Post and the McMaster University (Hamilton, ON) Daily News, about my Dad's WWll letters to my mother...  He was a member of this group for a while, proud to be the oldest member until he passed away last December.

I've always been proud of my father.  He was a kind, generous, peaceful person and was very much in love with nature.  He was the one who educated me in the way of birds.  Was the reason I ended up here, as I discovered the Kodak link, while researching a peregrine falcon stamp for him.

I've had his letters to my mother for a few years now.  Mom gave them to me one day, wanting his story to go on.  And my brother, John, and I decided that we should share them with the world, as they are a good personal history of being part of World War ll in Europe.  So John took them to McMaster University, where Dad got his degree and they were pleased to have them.

These articles, special for Remembrance Day, are one of the outcomes.  Of course, they will always be available for people to see, learn from, think about.

Thank you Anne.  What a wonderful way to share your father's words with the world.  He was a wonderful person and is truly missed.

Take care,
