Now, that was something! And wouldn't he just go out of sight so no one knows what he had? Kinda did not look like the prey was putting up a fight, did it? Would Bald Eagles eat carrion?

Now, that was something! And wouldn't he just go out of sight so no one knows what he had? Kinda did not look like the prey was putting up a fight, did it? Would Bald Eagles eat carrion?

He carried-on alright!

Eagles will eat dead stuff - I saw one haul off a dead fox (road kill).  It was a fresh kill.

NX from Norfolk, currently in rehab at WCV, was apparently hit by a car while eating roadkill deer.
