I had a "driveway moment" where I had to stay in the car to finish listening to the segment on NPR's All Things Considered...the segment was being broadcast from the roof of the Wilder Building!

All Things Considered is doing a series on urban life in the 21st century called NPR Cities.

Adam Frank, astrophysicist at University of Rochester, did a segment in early July from the streets of Rochester...listen to the story at Physics & Cities

Today's segment is The City as Engine.  Audio will be available this evening.

And, yes, I was listening for Kaaks!

Very cool, Ei!  Thanks for posting.  This story reminded me that about 80-90 years ago my grandfather was an elevator operator in the Wilder Building.  My mom used to work in that building too, and I'm right in the neighborhood now in the Aqueduct Building.
