Sooo cool!!!!!
Good going Joyce!
You are a star when it comes to getting pics to ID falcons!
It's that big 'honkin' lens
My little Kodak has no chance, but I have fun trying.
That's what it's all about, just watching and enjoying......and eventually getting an ID!
I actually got 1/2 of KPF's. Black 15 over ??. It's all a mystery. Hopefully soon to be solved.

Carol, this is the one you think is female with black bands? We have a 15/x named Marla from 2009, she is daughter of TR Mom and Milton and step dad Jack as Milton was injured when she was days old.
She was nesting in Nanticoke last 2 years, not successful though as her mate was killed the first year and last I heard this year she was on her own. She was also spotted in Ohio in 2010 trying to take on Lara (another Angel and Jack's girls) when she a year old.
That being said, could have been a girl banded as boy too..it happens. I'll keep looking for 15/y in case they are black..I know that band number...would be 2 away from DC ..Mercedes?....
Assuming of course the bands are all black...
Edit: I think 15/Y is Mercedes, DC was 13/Y, Blackberry (RIP) was 14/Y so Mercedes would be 15/Y. I'll confirm if I can.

Carly - Yes, I believe this is a female based on size. We do not believe it is black over black, although we cannot be sure. It looks like a different color on the bottom half of the band, but it looks faded. Very strange. Do you by chance have a picture of Marla's band? Or a picture of her with adult plumage?

Let me look, I know C&C got the photos of her back in 2010 when she was in an aerial fight with Rocky (Lara's mate) and Tracy may have photos of her from Nanticoke.
Now that I think about it, it was the tiercel you thought was black/black..it's like a freeway down there
Hmm...no updates since April on this site. Will have to check with Tracy as it seems they weren't sure there was a nest this year. A male was seen all winter but not this spring. There are photos of Marla she posted but I can never view them...grrrrr
Here is the page, bottom post with photos of Marla included. Maybe they will work for you.

Makes more sense kitty. Though Marla has had a rough time of it, not sure she'd leave her site for the unknown.

That is exactly what I was thinking Ei. They stopped using black over red here in NYS because the red faded.
