Syracuse's Groucho and Fancy

Yesterday Don and I went to Syracuse to watch Groucho and Fancy. We could see Fancy sitting on the edge of the nest box. We didn't get to see Groucho, but last weekend we saw both fly around. Groucho brought in what looked to be a pigeon, which he shared with Fancy.

Oh wow, sad if it's not the original pair. So many changes this season, hard to keep up.

I posted a copy on their FB page...and the answer is...
Susan Lowe Wrisley: We believe they are both the same (at least we are calling them Fancy and Groucho). We will never know. I am positive it's Fancy. We aren't completely sure about Groucho....

Must be neither are banded but seems like they would have identifying markers to recognize them. Anyway, thanks for asking and getting an answer from them.

"Groucho and Fancy were at their roost Sunday. At 4:12PM they took off after a stray juvenile RTH. One of the falcons returned to perch at 4:15PM. Good birding, Mitch Nusbaum" Feb 10.
