What Billy Saw This Morning

If Billy was flying around Russell Station or Charlotte or Summerville today, here's what she would have seen. It's the Pineglen, a 736 foot Great Lakes freighter owned by Canada Steamship Lines. I took this from my condo parking lot. Seeing the Pineglen means there's some serious weather mid-lake. She's far away from the shipping lanes, taking shelter on the southern shore. Almost all commercial vessels on Lake Ontario, the Welland Canal and the St. Lawrence Seaway are stopped, gone to anchor to wait out the wind.

Yes that takes some wind/weather to stop commercial vessels. Wow what a view from there. Thanx!

It's after 9:30 PM and I can still see the lights of the Pineglen anchored out in the lake. Better to be safe than sorry.
