Looks like a transmitter to me-odd place to put it!

What is that picture from? Looks
so
odd.
I tried to find it on the net but didn't. What I did find was a video of a white falcon battling a goose (5-minute or so battle). The beginning is weak because of poor video quality, but if you wait it out until after 1:00, it gets pretty intense.

Apparently this was a goose-hunting falcon, in general!
I find the superimposition of Beethoven's 5th really annoying; just a warning.

The guy is a Falconer, I guess! He has a few pics on his page with the Falcon and other birds it took down.
New way of transmitting I guess.
Top Flight Falconry Products is introducing a new revolutionary method for attaching the Marshall Radio RT Plus, RT UHF and the RT Turbo Transmitters by way of Leg mount style. It is the easiest method for attaching and removing a transmitter from your falcon or hawk with a few simple twists of the wrist. Held in place and very secure with a single silicone O-ring which is rated for the most extreme conditions. Outfit each of your birds, (vest or bag for safe storage) with the Leg Mount Nut. The bewit I use is slightly smaller around the tarsus than the standard one so there is less play and less flop. Yes it's a bit more difficult to put on the first time, but you only have to do this once cause it stays on your bird. A bewit with less slack keeps the transmitter from flapping around and causing problems that a loosely mounted transmitter could. Flying more than one bird but only have two transmitters? This is the slickest and easiest way to transfer transmitters from bird to bird. The Nut and Cap are CNC machined out of 7075 aluminum and black anodized.
Her name is Nike and I guess she is trained to take down stuff!!

Not sure if I like the leg transmitter idea-seems like it could injure her leg if it got caught on something. I do however like the name and she is a pretty falcon!
