Thank you, Dot. The first thing I thought of when I read the title "Beauty in snow !" was a downed falcon.
BH, I was not being rude. I politely reminded you and everyone else reading the
Rfalconcam Now board not to post topics here with non-descriptive, alarmist titles and/or pictures. This is explained in this board's first topic
"PLEASE DON'T CONFUSE THE WATCHERS." (Yes, this is the exact title of the topic. It's in all caps in order to catch everyone's attention so they will hopefully be considerate enough to our dedicated watchers to read it before posting.)
I apologize if my reply seemed a bit on the terse side, but surely you can understand why. I had already taken the time to post a complete explanation. I simply didn't have the time to repeat it in its entirety again, and, quite frankly, I shouldn't have had to.
You see, much of my time is spent monitoring and moderating Rfalconcam's forum and its social media sites; maintaining and updating the website; fending off spamming and hacking attempts; maintaining, repairing, and upgrading the cameras and computers at Times Square; relaying information to GVAS and DEC and complying with their various rules and regulations; answering technical questions from the falcon community; helping to raise funds to keep Rfalconcam running; and finding ways to save money whenever possible while still providing an informative, educational, and enriching experience for followers of the Rochester falcons.
The above is done on a 100% voluntary basis during whatever time I can find between working a full-time job and maintaining a household and personal life. So forgive me if I don't consult Judith Martin before posting a reminder for what must be the umpteenth time.
Let's try to remember why we're here -- to support the falcons! We must not let bruised egos get in the way of that.
