Computer pros: I was advised to download the new Mac Yosemite OS - and I HATE IT!!! Anyone out there able to take me thru - maybe via emails? - to help me do things? eg I cannot have 2 windows open at once... I cannot scroll... even the Help thingie is NO HELP!!! What a doof I was not to check it out first... which I always do!

If I could dump it, I would... not buying a new computer, as it really DID do what I needed before the download... a tad slowly, but I think that is more broadband than anything else... or at least I have come to that conclusion.

Thanks!

I don't have Yosemite so this is a wild guess. You have a program running in full screen mode. Click on the green button in the upper left corner of the screen. That should shrink the window and allow you to see the other windows hidden behind it.

I cannot scroll...

Shaky's suggestion should work for making multiple windows visible. For the scrolling thing:

System Preferences > General > Show scrollbars: Always

Good luck!

Shaky, when I press the Green button, it actually expands the screen. Then I have to hit Esc to get back to a normal view... I will keep fiddling. Also, have no idea what the diff is between a Tab and a window. Well, I do know a window... but no idea what to do when it asks me about Tabs... Argggh! Thanks for trying!!

Sounds like you were having a problem with a web browser. Safari? I think you can change tab behavior in Preferences. Click on Safari on the menu bar at the top of your screen and select Preferences. Then click on the Tabs button.
