I found an osprey at the nest a few minutes ago. I have no way of knowing who this might be.

Unfortunately, the female is not Lady.
The blog has just been updated:
At 4.25pm this afternoon a female osprey arrived at the nest and a ripple of excitement immediately washed over the staff, volunteers and visitors at the reserve. Following detailed reviews of the footage we can confirm that it is not the veteran female “Lady” but is a new unidentified female. Her initial arrival went unnoticed by our male who had not been seen on the loch for several hours, so she took a few short flights around the nest to survey her new surroundings. She has quickly settled in despite being met at first with some hostility from the male. He has since been busy delivering large sticks and moss clumps to her at the nest, and we have witnessed multiple successful matings already.
A more in depth blog will be published tomorrow, but in the meantime please enjoy the views from the webcam as the story unfolds.

The same thing happened last year, Lady returned and new lady disappeared. They say the weather has delayed some of the Ospreys return from migration so still hoping Lady comes back to all her followers and her mate!

I believe she will be back; there is still time. According to the blog, last year Lady returned on March 31 at 6:49 a.m., so I hope she is on her way home and will reclaim her nest.

Still the New Girl, apparently. Amazing how they can ID using the eye patterns.

Pair on nest right now - one of which continues to "mantle".
