2 Bald Eaglets Relocated From Nest In Belle Glade West Palm

A professional climber removes two bald eaglets from their nest near the Herbert Hoover Dike in Belle Glade.
Two bald eaglets were removed from their nest near the Herbert Hoover Dike on Thursday and relocated until foster nests can be found.
The Audubon Center for Birds of Prey said the eaglets were delaying construction projects needed to secure the safety of the dike in Belle Glade.
A professional climber worked with the Audubon Center to remove the eaglets from the nest, which was perched above the water.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and national wildlife officials granted the permits necessary to rescue the birds.
After their removal, the eaglets were examined by the Audubon Center's staff and will be cared for at the Maitland facility.
Audubon officials said the eaglets would remain there until two separate active nests with chicks of comparable size can be found. Audubon volunteers will then monitor the nest for a few hours each day to determine if the eaglets have been accepted by the new parents.
They don't say anything about the parents.....they must be devastated! I would be P O'd!
