Four bald eagles found dead in Sussex County
U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service agents are expected to join the investigation Monday, March 21. The federal agency also is investigating the deaths of 13 bald eagles found Feb. 20 near Federalsburg, Md., and offering a $25,000 reward to anyone who can lead to a suspect. The federal agency's forensics laboratory recently found that the 13 dead eagles in Maryland “did not die from natural causes.â€
Sick or injured eagles should be reported to the Natural Resources Police dispatch center at 800-523-3336. Anyone with information about the dead eagles should call the 24-hour Operation Game Theft hotline at 800-292-3030 or online at

This is very sad. Whoever is doing this needs to be caught and charged. I wonder if the two incidents are related; if, for instance, the same toxin was used.
