I started watching this nest earlier this year.  There were 3 Eaglets, with one very small nestling (DN3) succumbing to starvation and sibling aggression in recent weeks..it was fed to DN 1&2. DN1&2 continued to thrive until a couple days ago, when the mother brought tainted food into the nest.  DN2 passed away that day and Mom North was very ill..it was feared the whole family would die. Mom has survived, DN1 appears to be, so far, healthy..dad was unaffected. The live cam is turned off at this time, because of the events.  Here's a recent post with a video at the end that might disturb some on here:

Statistics about the nest!  Shocked

DNN2 is 56 feet off the ground
It is nine feet long at its longest point
It is seven feet wide at its widest point
It has a total area of 49 feet
It is about 5.5 feet high

I've been following this too.  They recovered the body of D2 and sent it out for a toxicology test.  It will be interesting to see what it was that caused this.
