Not with this female Annette, they were not weak and unresponsive, they were quite feisty. The male saved the remaining ones, he is learning to be there for the hatches and then she calms down.

Yes, the only way Hope's hatches have survived hatching since she's been at this nest on camera is if Terzo is there at hatch time or if the egg hatches at night. Otherwise, she perceives it as either a threat or prey. Also, Terzo is generally a good provider, so it's not that she's starving.
