Is it possible she has no brood patch yet, since she's laid no eggs? That might explain why she isn't incubating.

Cadence has been in the igloo for about 45 minutes now...standing quietly by the eggs.
Her eyes are opening and closing...she's getting sleepy...

She stayed awhile and then left. Dad came in shortly after and he's back on his eggs for the night.

5.40 am and I find Cadence in the nest box standing over the eggs.
6.14 am and she's still in the box doing some housework. She practiced trying to lay on the eggs for quite awhile.
6.18 and she's out and on the railing now.

Cadence is on the ledge in front of the nest box at 9:50 pm. You can see her head in the bottom right hand corner. She's been there for quite some time.

From 10:45 pm Monday night until 1:00 am Tuesday, Cadence remains on the level below the corner of the ledge. Reminds me of Beauty when she would sit outside the nestbox waiting to lay an egg. Jersey Dad has not returned to the igloo. I suspect he is aware that Cadence is due since he has stopped incubation. I doubt the current eggs are viable.

Cadence was in the same place you saw her last night at 5.07 am when I woke up. Dad is home now and both are bowing in nest box at 5.44 am.
5.52 am and the chat and bow session still in progress and looks like dad has been convinced to leave the igloo. Cadence remains in the nest box with the eggs.
6.03 am and dad sneaks back into igloo after Cadence leaves and settles on the eggs. I hope he fed her - if she is going to lay eggs he needs to provide food. I expect that's what she told him earlier..lol

Checking in from work: Cadence outside igloo talking to dad who is on eggs.

Thanks for the pic, carly. Can it be that this looks like an egg butt?

It does yes but whether or not she'll have viable eggs is another thing. She can lay eggs but he may be shooting blanks given how unresponsive he is, he goes through the motions but that's about it. Wouldn't be the first time that happened. The courtship rituals, including feeding, are important as they stimulate their hormones - he looks more constipated than stimulated quite frankly. Some people say incubation shuts down the 'sperm production'. I'm not a biologist so I can't verify if it's true or not.
She came in kacking just now and looking out at something and he just wouldn't move off the eggs and she just flew off to address whatever it is.
