Oh, how sad!  I'm glad her sister stayed around and was able to feed her, though.  Kind of reminds me of Nor'easter and his sister, Nurse Nettie, although his injury was not as serious and had a better outcome.

Interesting story, but a very sad outcome, especially after the sister had done her best to care for her injured sibling.
