http://www.scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/things-to-do/wildlife-webcams/loch-of-lowes/ Feeder cam and lots of ducks passing through.

What is that bird at the feeder?

From a quick look - a Blue Tit was at the right-hand feeder. And at the left, I think it was a Coal Tit. Both brief glances, tho.

I wondered that too, MAK - but then wondered if it could actually be mammalian... like a rat?? Trust Donna to do this to us!! I cannot make it out. Not many day-flying owls around here, except the Short-eared - and even then, I have not heard of them going to seed feeders. Still... Will see if I can ask some of my FB birder friends here... sure is a puzzlement.

Another person thinks it could be a rat - but the most useful comment comes from my friend Jim (an excellent Irish birder) in Cork. He thinks it could be a pheasant with its head turned aside. Makes sense, as I have seen pheasants in the background.

I have discounted the possibility of a Cheshire Cat...

Can hardly think about whether the legendary Lady of Lowes will return again this year! But they are getting ready for her.
