Quick Jemison update for today (7/5/10).  I spoke to the rehabber this afternoon and was told that the XRays were put off until tomorrow (7/6/10.  Nothing wrong with Jemison, it was just that the Vet was unable to do them today.

Gary told me that Jemison's wing was not drooping as badly as it had been when we first brought him in.  He asked if I could come out for a quick visit to give my opinion.  I said sure and asked if fellow Watcher Kathy O could accompany me.  He said sure.

When Kathy and I arrived, we very briefly took a look at Jemison, who stared back at us intently.  I definitely see improvement in the way the wing is positioned.  The drooping of his right wing was very evident when we watched him on the north side of the Time Square bldg.  This to me was a very positive sign (again my opinion only).

Jemison has been eating well on his own and drinking.

So, we have to wait for the results of the XRays tomorrow.  I hope Jemison is ok and will be able to return to his family soon.

Carol P.

Sounds encouraging.  Thanks for posting.

Forget the internet!  Is THAT your (now deceased) stud?  Magnificent image!

Nope, that is my Main Man, Grand Champion Rakiscats Chardin Klees, aka Charly, who came to me at five years old. He is a Chestnut Shaded Silver Oriental Shorthair.  He is now a happy go lucky neutered boy of eleven, still gorgeous, and a sweet sweet boy.  happy
Carol

Keep him away from me, as I'll "liberate" him in a heartbeat!   laugh  He is gorgeous!  Do post more images, please?

Thanks for the update on Jemison.  Glad to hear his wing is seeming less droopy.  Look forward to hearing the results of his x-rays.

Thanks for the update, Carol.    I'm assuming Jem will need to be anesthetized for the X-ray.  If so, glad they're waiting till they have the time to give him all the attention he needs.

Spoke to the rehabber late this afternoon.  Jemison made it through his XRays just fine.  We hope to have more information about the results soon.  Keep sending him good, healing thoughts.   heart

Thanks for the update, Carol.  Can't believe how I am fretting over Jemison!  I just want him back out with Callidora so they can learn the ropes together.
