This rehab is only 20 minutes from our house and I read on the site that our Vet who takes such wonderful care of our Toby, Dr. Gwen Wollney, is an associate there. I will certainly be sending in a donation to this great place that took such wonderful care of Mariah. I hope all will be OK with Jemison and that he can be returned to his family soon.

Not much more to add on Jemison's condition. Today was a day of rest for our young fledgling and quail, I believe, was on the menu. They want to stabilize him and make sure he's eating ok.
Rest well Jemison.

Do you know if they did xrays and have an idea of what type of injury it is?

Kris - As far as I know, they were going to wait a couple days to let him rest and eat before doing the XRays. We're just so very lucky to have him in a place where a Vet is available to look after him, especially during the holiday weekend.

Amen!
For all we know, rest may be all he needs - he is so young and that is in his favor. Bet he likes the quail, too

Just another awed "thank ypu" to the watchers, vet, Wild Wings, police, Animal Control, and anyone else involved. It shows a uniquely American way of working creatively together that's more moving to me this holiday than the best fireworks, display.

I spoke to the rehabber this afternoon. Jemison is doing really well. Yesterday he didn't eat much, but he made up for it today, eating everything placed in front of him all by himself. This is very good news.
If all goes as planned, he will be X-Rayed tomorrow. I'll continue to post updates when I get news.

Oh I am so glad to read he is doing well....I love that little guy...so brave and sweet!
My prayers are with him that he will be able to soar the skies once more.
But in the meantime this is the very best place for him to be where he gets the best of care.
Rest well sweet Jemi and we all love you!
