I'll try anything ONCE, (within reason), I even had Frog legs, (which I can't remember), too much Boone's Farm Apple Wine.
Donna! Shame on you for admitting that you actually drank that swill
Frog Legs are on the menu at most German establishments here. I always think of Kermit in the wheelchair from the Muppets Movie dream
They really do taste like chicken.
I'm with you on this, Janet! Donna! WHAT are you thinking with Boone's Farm??? Great big "ICK"! Since you "never leave home" (haha!), get yourself a good book about The Wines of the World to entertain you in your idle moments... I would rather eat a swampful of frogs... with Brussels sprouts!... than drink that! Eeeeeeee-uuuuuu!
Waiter! Send the sommelier to her table, please...

Well C'mon, I was only 17 and that was the drink of choice back then and of course Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill....(yummy). I don't drink wine now....I'll take the old fashioned "Beer" and check this out Bobbie, I like "Guinness" and a nice German beer.

Haha, Donna, You got me... again! At 17, the beverage of choice is always a tad dubious. And since you mention Ireland's National Beverage, you (and others?) may be interested to hear that 23 September is Arthur's Day... Here's some info...
"All around the world, starting at 17.59 on September 23rd 2010 we're once again celebrating the remarkable life and legacy of Arthur Guinness - and we'd love you to join us!
Building on the success of last year's inaugural global celebration, Arthur's Day is back, with a series of remarkable celebrations and live music events taking place around the world.
Here in Ireland celebrations will now be national in scale, with amazing artists and acts performing at events in Cork, Galway and Dublin, along with 100's of bands playing in pubs throughout Ireland for 10's of thousands of you. We'll be looking for your participation as your vote will help decide which bands progress to the regional showcases and final.
Everyone* can be part of this unique worldwide celebration wherever they are. We've recruited hundreds of bands to take part in Our Thursdays, an exciting showcase for bands to win the chance to actually perform on Arthur's Day. If you're simply up for being part of a truly remarkable celebration, then look out for tickets going on sale for the shows and make sure wherever you are, you raise a GUINNESSĀ® to Arthur on Thursday 23rd September and help us make Arthur's Day 2010 another day to remember!"

And... "Slainte" yourself!

Hey Bobbie, I remember a few years back watching something like this on Live cam. Is this the same? There were different cams for different Pubs playing some great Irish Music. Maybe it was St. Paddy's Day, who knows but it was fun. bguitar

), but I drank those sweet mix things - sloe-gin fizzes - yuk!

That's it! The sloe-gin fizz! I had forgotten! My friend and I out in Pittsford... me with no (legal) ID - but I had her sister's - and my first drink was the famous sloe-gin fizz! Did everyone order this??? (How we got from picky eaters to Guinness and the Sloe-Gin Fizz, I do not know...)
Slainte all round!!!
