Thanks Shaky.  I really enjoyed the tour!  I love Cape Cod.  It has been a part of my imagined idyll since I read  The Outermost House.  Your photographs of the humpback whales are outstanding!  Acadia has long been on my list.

wave   Nice pics Carrie and Shaky. I was at Acadia National Park when I was in grammar school. I remember Thunder hole and feeding seagulls on the rocks. Truly a magnificent and memorable place. I used to go to Cape Cod to visit relatives. Another great place. Thanks for sharing your memories and rekindling mine!    clap

Lots of fond memories - haven't been to the Cape since I was a kid!  Did you cross the Lake on a Cable Ferry or standard one.  Getting my bearings - that is one deep lake - good memories there, too.  Thanks for sharing.

Love your pictures, Shaky!  We've enjoyed the Cape Cod area but Bar Harbor and Acadia was one of our most memorable trips.  Thanks for posting!

It was a standard ferry. No cable. No Satellite. Just 3 TV channels, all of them playing Love Boat.

Not that kind of cable, Shaky.  Smiley  The ferry is pulled across the lake via a cable; no engine.  The ferry at Ft. Ticonderoga is a cable ferry.

HaHaHa!  I thought I saw a cable/wire ferry in one of the last pictures.  Sort of like "Whites Ferry" over the Potomac.  As for Love Boat, I am listening to Former Congressman Fred Grandy (aka Goofer) right now  harhar

I've been going to Cape Cod for the last 13 years.  Stay for 2 weeks.
Where on the Cape did you go.  I stay in North Eastham.  Coast Guard beach is
there, rated 8th best in the USA.

We stayed in Harwich Port within walking distance of Red River Beach. We've also stayed in Brewster on previous trips.

We spent an afternoon at Coast Guard Beach during this vacation and have done the same during previous trips to Cape Cod. It is a very nice beach.

Thanks Shaky!
I went through your slideshow, thinking of my own trips to the Cape, when suddenly, WOW - there's a whale!  Quite a surprise, and what a great trip.

Great pics, Shaky!  We were on Cape Cod in June, but didn't see whales.  Acadia is beautiful -- did you know all the answers to the peregrine questions? happy

Thanks. Carrie and Kristy took most of the pictures.

And, yes, I knew the answers to the peregrine questions, but I kept them to myself.
