Any time I visited the zoo, I made sure to visit Nikko and Luna. They were truly beautiful. They'll be missed.

I did the same. In fact, I had been thinking that in the few days I have left of break, I should go to the zoo and seeing the remaining wolf had been my motivation.

The zoo announced his death Monday in a news release. He was 26 and the cause of death was initially thought to have been cancer, although the results of pathology tests will not be available for six weeks, according to the zoo.
