Nearly five million Migratory birds from Canada are now winging their way south across North America, and many of them could be in for a nasty shock when they reach the oily marshes and beaches along the Gulf Coast.

I think this is going to be more devastating than anyone can even imagine. Oil 15 inches below the surface ... beyond BAD. The stuff from which nightmares come. HORRIBLE!!!

It's been hard to watch our migrating birds leaving Canada for sunnier climes, knowing what they are headed for... There are some, like the Loon and the Merganser, that we may
never see again
... How sad is that! I can't help but wonder, what man has next in store for this planet. We seem to be set on destroying everything good, and for what...? We don't like to do without our creature comforts! So we risk creatures, who are otherwise innocent... It's a sad and belittling thought!
