Isn't this amazing!? Imagine getting those tiny little critters to this point!
I know! I've read that this lady has raised and released many orphaned Hummers so she really knows what she's doing.

A Couple Announcements:
The chicks will be released in the yard tomorrow, 2-March. They should be here around noon, then stay in their cage for an hour or 2 to acclimate. They will be released at around 1:30pm or so PST. I will be streaming the whole time at
http://phoebeallens.com/.
Also, a new female has moved into the yard. Her name is Phoebe Renata Allens. [Must be related and her middle name just happens to mean reborn]
She has been exploring nest locations in the rosebush and will hopefully get building soon. She seems very interested in an old nest I mounted in the bush, but is also looking at the previous site among other locations.

Stay safe little ones!
They were released into the same yard that they were hatched from. There's a new Phoebe who's been looking over the nesting situation and a male has been seen too...looks like he didn't like the babies in their territory. Hope they'll be OK.

Sad news posted on Phoebe's FB page that new Phoebe has been missing since yesterday AM and the 2 babies have been peeping for food all morning. The people that have the nest in their yard are going to feed them some sugar water and take them to the rehabber.
