Went for a drive at 4pm tonight and popped in at the Harlequin site.  No sign or sound of any peregrines but in the distance on top of antenna I could see a large bird.  Drove over to the apartments at 20 Graydon Rd (east of Don Mills Road) to see Kendal on top of the antenna.  Under him on the roof top were dozens and dozens of pigeons.  Supper right under him.

Woohoo Kendal go grab a snack! Thanks for the update. 

How far is that from Harlequin??

Not sure but if he grabs one of those pigeons and Quest or Harlie find out he'll only end up with a snack!

Harlequin was hatched about ten days later in the season than Quest, so this is just about the age at which her mom left her parents' territory for good.

I'm reading Paul's post as Quest was in Schenectady in July 1, 2008 and possibly Harlie is on her own travels since she is 10 later this year than Quest was in 2008.  I'm reading Paul as saying that might be why we have not seen Harlie lately.  Am I reading this wrong???

That's the way I'm reading it too! I think maybe CarolP is a bit tired after a long week!!!

Yes, Paul was referring to July 2008. I don't know if Quest will leave for migration or Kendal for that matter. They may go off together on a mini Vaca, will be cool to know. She still has her transmitter! Harlie, now that's another story, she may or may not leave. Hope someone at Harlequin will let us know when and if she does decide to venture out!

Maybe Quest and Kendal will go back to the power plant in Pickering for a little stay! There's some great wetlands up there!  I loved the surroundings when I was there with Joycie! (other than the power plant of course)
