Just letting you know, Jeff has just landed on the Ice after flight delays for the past few days due to weather. He said Happy Feet could have paddled there faster. Hope to post some pics soon of his adventures. Stay tuned!  natale3

Well, if all goes well with Happy Feet's journey home, he should arrive at McMurdo sound, which is where Jeff is. This is where H F's colony is!! Oh I hope so, Jeff said he will be waiting for his arrival, camera in hand!!   thumbsup

No Penguins but Jeff did post his pics from the flight on a C-17 from Christ Church NZ, to Antarctica. He's hoping for a better tour this year.

It's interesting that they installed regular airline passenger seats in the back of the cargo plane.

I saw that in a Steven Seagal movie, so it must be ok.

UPS and FedEx both have some passenger seats on board their cargo planes because of their Airline Status. Not to the extent of Jeff's plane, but a few seats up near the front.

The weather in Antarctica has kept Jeff from working. They already had white-out conditions. He's back in business and this is what he is doing!

I guess building an air control tower for the new Runway they built 2 years ago!! Here's the topper! More soon.

Jeff said the ice is real thin this year and conditions are very bad. They call it a Con 1 which is like an F4 Cat4 Hurricane. This pic was taken yesterday when it was nice and clear. Today the condition is Con1 again. They had to use GPS one night to get back to base. Phew, can't imagine getting lost in those conditions on the Ice.
