I saved these pics of Swift and Snow at the nest last night. Snow is coming in to land in the first pic. He kept pestering Swift; he tried to grab her by the tail, but she skipped out of the way really fast, then he chased her around the nest, and finally launched himself at her. Swift did not look amused. After the last pic, Snow left.

I still say that these two have a really odd relationship. Snow acts whacky at times-going after his mom like that and she looks afraid of him in some videos I've seen. He also sleeps in the box with mom sometimes at night-isn't that odd behavior for a fledgling?

You can say that again! I'm surprised Swift puts up with his antics. One video showed him trying several ways to bite her and she was trying to get away from him. Weird!

Isn't Snow's odd behavior the same that he would direct toward siblings if he had any.??
It is rough 'play' but he has to practice on someone.......poor Swift!!

I don't recall this behavior between Orion and Beauty-he just took it out on poor Orville!

I don't think Snow had any intention of hurting Swift; I think he just wanted to play.
Things have seemed peaceful at the nest for the past couple of days.
