I've seen a bald eagle being chased by a much smaller peregrine falcon, and a couple of times the battle ventured into merlin air space, the dove-sized hawk succeeding in chasing both birds away - a real sight to see. It was loud and it was fast. I couldn't keep the smaller hawks in my binocular field as they were diving so fast.

Mak and I saw what I'm pretty sure was a Merlin today downtown on Andrews St.  It flew over us heading toward the FCT.  I was telling her how feisty these smaller falcons could be.   happy
