So wonderful that Mak's surgery is over and that she feels good--it would be
really cool if a peregrine came by her window--it would make her day for sure!
All the best to her! Christiane

How about a falcon-watching ambulance? Flashers, siren, webcam.

So happy to hear MAK is on the road to recovery!  What did she have done to her "foot"?  I guess I have been out of the "loop" on this one!  Well lots of them probably, but I am trying!

You go MAK!  I doubt much will keep you down and away from the computer and the falcons and such.  Keep up the therapy and do what they tell you to do!  thumbsup

So glad that you visited her tonight.  How long will she be in hospital?   It's a good one for joint replacement!
Good name too!

Not sure the hospital stay Margaret but she may have to go to PT for a week, which she wants.

(You may just see her riding that bike DT to do her watches)  clap

She'll be going to PT twice a day while in the hospital-at 9 & 1.  I think you meant to say that she wants to be transferred to Unity's Rehab unit for a week after her hospital stay-which is usually 4-5 days. The "group" there decides whether she gets to go to rehab or not depending on if they feel she needs to have more therapy -that's what she told me.

She had one knee replaced...the other will be done depending on how fast she recovers from this one...

Imagine that Shaky! LOL

Annie, MAK had the 1st of 2 knee replacements. Just talked to her and she is going to PT in about an hour. Sounds much better than yesterday. She's up and sitting in her chair. Drain coming out in a few. She is trying to get into PT for at least one week but her insurance will give her a hard time the nurse said. We'll see what happens. If no Physical Therapy, she will be home by Thurs or Friday. She is watching the birds migrate outside her window.

Just talked to MAK, she's in LALA land, almost fell asleep on the ph. She's been up and about but in pain, not from the surgery but her other leg and her arms. Hope she gets to go to therapy when they release her but that's up to her insurance and they are making a stink...(what else is new!). All tubes are out...YAY! We'll see what tomorrow brings.

She asked about the falcons! I said ??, none at nest today and not sure if Archer is still around. We know Unity is. Smiley

Sending good wishes to MAK!  Hope you are feeling better.  I miss your reports...I think we all do.
Beauty and Archer are awaiting your return.  Unity is still here.   And you are still at Unity!   How's that? :-)

Actually, when I had my first knee done, my husband didn't think he'd ever get me back for the second one because it's a tough rehab. But the wear and tear on the non-operative knee with the first operation made me want to get the second one done which I did 2 months later. It was well worth it having both knees pain free than have one good one and still having pain in the other from the arthritis.

Makes sense to me!
