One of the gals caught an intruder yesterday.  It happened real quick and the way they were looking around I'm thinking there was more than one.  After the main part of the video she did it in slow motion.  Keep your eye out at 2 min. 17 sec. way to the left upper side of the screen, you see the head appear and wing go past E&E behind them, but they were also looking "this" (cam) side of the nest.

Here's a couple stills I took off the video she got.  OH, and as far as we know there are two eggs.

Was trying to find out what happened to the old nest of E & E. I know they cut it down, was the tree unstable? Seems they like their new nest not too far from the old.

Did they move it when the kids were still in it?

View from new nest.

Working on their new nest.

The old nest lasted until after they fledged, but barely.  It was falling apart daily until it was basically gone.  Jim and buddy built a platform to use as a nest and mounted it up on the framework the cam is on.  The tree the nest was in is totally rotten and very bad.  We were all holding our breath every time a storm came through this year.  If you go back to the middle of August and before on their FaceBook page you'll see all I'm talking about....

Thanks Nora, I checked their page but it didn't say why they removed the nest. Glad they seem to like the new one.

I didn't have a chance to post these the other day, but these will give you an idea of how the nest disintegrated.  Thankfully it lasted until fledge.  Every so often we could hear sticks falling when the kids were running around on the nest.  The tree it's in is VERY dead and rotten.
