It figures... All that work, and the dame flies off.  Poor bastid.

Actually, what a rare bird. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks dale...that was amazing.  I was hoping that the article would say the male was successful in his pursuit.  ~Joyce

Lou, I take that personally!!! I WANT that hat. Doesn't it look like fun?

In terms of the female, yeah. Check out how she just sits there and watches.
I'm mentally yelling at her, "HELLO?!....DUDE! He's levitating! With disks on threads!
Can we see a BIT more enthusiasm from the gallery???"

Okay Dale. If I get you that hat (or a reasonable homemade facsimile) for Christmas, will you promise to make a video of yourself next Summer using it? You gotta keep your head perfectly still, put on a goofy face, and cross your eyes a couple of times.

Deal?

Hey Lou, we all know that Dale loves strange hats.  Do you remember the one she wore to attract owls?  Yes, the one with the mouse that she wore to the Letchworth outing a few years back?

If the one Jeanne shared with us isn't her cup of tea, maybe this Wearable Hummingbird Feeder will do:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49O1lMf1Yi0 (inventor's video 6.18 min)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8twCvJJtT0A (testimonial - wearing the feeder 1.59 min)

And the inventor even has a website: http://heatstick.com/ (scroll down).  Wonder what it costs?

deal, definitely deal.

Joyce, that one's very wonderful, too -- on the one hand, it definitely gets you more one-on-one action with the miniature dinosaur; on the other, the first version looks way cooler, with yer man sitting there paralyzed and those things dangling out front. Tough call.

The man in the video looks very much like a departed  friend of mine. I can see him camping, sitting in a chair with his biking helmet on , the feeders dangling off it.The only difference would be him having a glass of Apfel Schnapps to while away the time, waiting for the hummers. RIP B .Z.
