Kris sent me this pic of a hawk outside on her railing this am. The pic is huge but you get the picture! I could only save a portion of it, that's how big it was. LOL Kris, your ipad sends out HUGE pics!

On several occasions each year, we have a Cooper's Hawk fly up into our backyard, trying to get one of our birds at the feeder.  With such a mild winter, we hadn't had any so far but with the snowfall yesterday-our Coop appeared.  Mourning Doves, Juncos, Finches and Sparrows went flying every which way as it arrived!

Thanks! They were taken through our kitchen and dining room windows so I was happy to see they didn't come out too bad.  The last, blurry one was taken from the laundry room.  I was hoping it would fly back on the deck railing but it took off from there. A while later, it came back and landed on the feeder roof but I couldn't get my camera in time before it left.

thumbsup Good job Kris but take it easy on those heels when you're chasing down hawks! hawk  Phil(my home care physical therapist) whom I requested from my last knee replacement left here just a while ago. But as soon as he came in today he told me about the coop that flew right in front of his car on Monday after he left here and whacked a pigeon on Glide Street sending feathers flying. He saw the pigeon land but didn't see if the hawk went back for it as he cranked his neck. I said Phil my boy, you need to stop your car on those rare occasions. And when I saw him this past Monday for the 1st time since my last home therapy he told me it's my fault that every time he goes downtown now he looks for falcons! The word is out to keep your eyes to the sky!  Grin

Lol, MAK!  I took these through the kitchen window so didn't have to go too far but I am getting around pretty good in these cam walkers if I do say so myself!

I am amazed at how many people are watching out there.  Met with a salesrep from Charlotte, NC yesterday and the conversation turned to the RTH that nailed lunch on the Toll Road while he was driving to Arlington.  He knew it was going to be a great day!
