Black Vultures and a Bald Eagle

So! Some of you know that I am on a mission to loose 35 pounds, so I am not walking at least 4 miles per day! I hate it, but I'm not going to do the diabetes drugs. I started by bringing my camera, but I'd get too distracted, so I now leave it home. Yesterday I saw a beautiful Mockingbird and a Bluebird. Today, brought the Black Vulture tree (20+) and while walking, my Bald Eagle flew over head in the direction I was walking. I am certain that we have a local nest within 2 miles from my house and I have very good idea where. No, I'm not going to go find it - too many property owners between me and the eagles. I'm just happy to have them for neighbors!

I'll drive down and go walking with you. I have quite a few pounds to lose.

Best of luck to you Janet! I hope to be walking a lot more once my knees are rehabbed!

8.5 pounds lost - guess I'm literally walking my backside off!
The black vultures are along the field where the red barn is located (the one that I used for this year's Christmas Cards) - it's a nice walk considering that it is along the main drag (MD Rt 260). Sadly, I'm going to have to come inside in a few weeks because I don't do heat and humidity well. Rich goes to the doc tomorrow and then to p/t, so based on those findings, we'll buy something for the basement. In the meanwhile, I have four miles to walk....

Good going! Keep it up as long as you can, Janet -- think of all the birds you will see.
