Wow, that was very interesting.  What a
struggle for that Giant.   I hope that

That was quite a story. It was very well written and actually made me read with interest the outcome and even care. I enjoy all the animals birds and bugs nature shows me. I do hope some of these stories inspire folks to get out and see whats in their own areas.

I thought it remarkable that they were found and that they had survived all those years on a small patch of plant life. Hopefully all the efforts to bring the species back isn't in vain.

Just goes to show how preserving habitat is so important. Even what youd think of as insignificant. Anything that can be left alone in some areas probably should be. Outside of study of this bug,they should think about closing off access to that one lonley plant(ie the whole island).

So true.  One never knows whose habitat might be disrupted. If someone had gone to that island and had pulled up that plant....
