Roughly seven months after four Marshall residents announced the broadcast, they're able to watch the hatching and growth of scavenger birds second-by-second. The residents wished to remain anonymous in an effort to keep the nest undisturbed.
Cameras installed within a resident's barn produce a live video feed that allows people worldwide to witness a local turkey vulture care for her newest nestlings. It also offers an opportunity to learn about the birds' habits.
At least one egg completely hatched Tuesday, June 19, according to one of the residents, who says the mother is sitting on them attentively.
