There is a nice if slightly out of date article on the Rochester falcons in today's Democrat & Chronicle at http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/20120701/SPORTS/307010020/Outdoor-notebook-Rochester-Peregrine-Falcon-Project-still-soaring?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|Home|s.

Great article, with some good information and news! Zeus still going strong at 18 years old is wonderful to hear. Congratualtions to everyone involved over the many years of helping Peregrines in Rochester!

I saw this article in Sunday's D & C and  I don't think I was aware of Zeus.  Is there anywhere on rfalconcam where the very early history is recorded?   I think it is wonderful that Zeus is alive and well after 18 years.  He is the ur-falcon of Rochester!

http://www.kodak.com/US/en/corp/magazine/transcripts/5-9-2001.1-1.shtml Margaret, here's a little something. Zeus was mentioned but I found this very cool.

Thanks, Donna. An interesting article.  And I realized did watch the Kodak cam back in the late 90s and early 00's.   Kind of lost track a little in the mid 00's, but I remember M and K well.  And all of their little ones.

Not too many errors in the story. Obviously our watchers take no credit in making sure that Beauty was rehabilitated (NYS DEC saw to it), and they certainly did not rescue Unity's egg.

A little bit of fiction doesn't hurt all that much.  Falcon watchers would have taken care of Beauty if they could.  And they would have rescued the egg if they had to.

Very nice story.   happy

Sometimes I just wonder about news people! Great story otherwise!

Dave came back a little while later to verify a couple things. Too bad we didn't know about the miscues he had in his article then so we could set him straight. Oh well, nice article anyway and he was a very nice man. Cute too!  gum

Well now hmm, won't play for me in Chrome. When I first checked out the article, the play button wasn't there, now it is. I'll try it in FF. Thanks

WOW, OK, it worked in FF. Very good. I liked when he said to Dana "and what do you see?"  pfalcon
