Eaglets removed from nest yesterday for fishing wire wrapped around them. 1 had fish hook in gullet, was in vet care. Stitches and antibiotics were given, was returned to nest. Both are fine now and can lead a normal life until fledge.
After their ordeal.
Fishing line before retrieval.

15th October. After a long day for the seaglets and S3 spending the night with Dr Stacey the vet, mum returns to nest with dinner and can't quite understand where her missing baby is? Up, down and all around, looking at S4 "what have you done with S3?".

The calm strength of the hands holding those birds is just amazing. You know they've communicated that calm to the birds.
