My favorite is the Anatomy Prize awarded to Frans de Waal (Netherlands/US) and Jennifer Pokorny (US) for discovering that chimpanzees can identify other chimpanzees individually from seeing photographs of their rear ends.

I wonder if this could be applied to humans. I can envision a killer iPhone app for this: Turds with Friends.
