Oh, I am so very sorry. I remember her well from the early days.

Wow.  I'm so sorry for your loss, Nora, and thanks for letting us know.  Just last night I was re-reading a long email conversation I'd had with her last year.  She had been through so much but seemed to really be growing, learning, expanding her horizons...and doing those wonderfully long walks...so sad.

I just got heard about Annie's passing, I am at a loss for words. She was so thrilled to volunteer at the fledge watches in Toronto. She loved her birds. She will be missed by all the falcon followers here in Toronto and in New York. It's good to know she'll forever have the best seat in the house for watching the fledglings.

What a remarkable woman, what an astonishing, fine example of a human being.
A person who, despite crushing challenges and burdens, shone, stumbled, screwed up, fixed it, thought, gave of herself generously and unimaginably open-mindedly to needy strangers and critters and actually did strive to pull for the very best in herself and others. A person who stood up for a better picture of the world even when she couldn't see one. And if sometimes she forgot to dance and laugh for a little while, she made up for it later with a childlike joy I could only admire.

What I just wrote is not an exaggeration. I told it to her. If you know someone like that, make sure they know you see that light and humanity and hope in them and that you cherish it, because these rare people do not get enough encouragement from the world -- their spirit is sometimes too busy being hopeful to be well-behaved and tidy and patient.

Sad  RIP and so sorry for your loss, Nora.

I was thinking on Tuesday that it is 4 years since we lost Marty and her little-dirty jokes.

I really liked that picture of her when she showed it to me too Dale.  This one was from Halloween and isn't the best being Sparky's broom is a bit in front of her, but she sure had fun with him when she was here.

I'm so sorry, Nora.  Words just don't mean much right now.  I hope you and Anne's family find comfort in your wonderful memories of her.  She's in a much better place now.

I'm so sorry to hear this.  Even though I don't check in too often, I remember all her wonderful posts and her enthusiasm for so much.  It's hard to lose any of our members -- especially one who has been part of this group for so long.  Sympathies to Nora and Anne's family.

I don't know how to say this other than she suddenly passed away yesterday from a massive stroke.  She had just gone home on Tuesday from a visit down here and we had a great time, she was doing really well.  Anyone who met her just loved her, she was so much fun.  She sure is going to be missed.  Sad  Rest in peace "Sis"

Nora, So sorry for your loss and our loss of Anne in Toronto.  Like Janet, I too, have recently thought about the late Marty Vaughn, a great falconer; wow, could she tell a story.  Peace be with you.
